Inspections, licensing, panels and quotes: the usual questions before hiring a contractor.
The schedule comes from NFPA 72, which Florida adopts through the Florida Fire Prevention Code. Most commercial fire alarm systems are inspected and tested at least once a year, and some components are checked more often. The exact schedule depends on the equipment and the building, so we confirm it against your system and your local authority having jurisdiction, usually the county or city fire marshal's office.
Both. We repair fire alarm panels, and we replace or upgrade them when a panel is outdated or non-compliant. Repair comes first when the panel can be brought back into service.
We cover the South Florida coastal corridor: Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. We are a service-area business, so crews travel to the property rather than working out of a storefront.
Yes. We hold Florida licence EC13015831 as a State-Certified Electrical Contractor and Fire Alarm Specialist. That single licence covers both the fire alarm work and the wiring behind it, so one contractor is accountable for the whole job instead of it being split between trades.
Installation, wiring, programming, inspection, certification and monitoring. We also carry out certified testing and inspections, fire alarm panel repair, replacement and upgrade of outdated or non-compliant panels, and monitoring setup with dealer support.
Often not. A panel that fails an inspection frequently needs repair or reprogramming rather than a full replacement. When the panel itself is genuinely outdated or non-compliant we replace or upgrade that panel, which is usually less disruptive than replacing the system around it.
We work on Notifier addressable panels, including the NFS-3030 and NFS-640 families. Programming, device disabling, repair and panel replacement are handled in-house rather than referred out to the manufacturer's dealer network.
Yes. Alongside fire alarm work we install emergency and exit lighting, security cameras, burglar alarms and access control. We do not take on general electrical work: the state electrical licence is what lets our own crew run the wiring for these systems, so one contractor is accountable for the low-voltage work in the building.
